7. The army

shī · Earth ☷ over Water ☵

Discipline and responsible leadership — the ability to gather people around a shared goal.

The Noble One's Path

Water hidden within the earth — a quiet, invisible reserve. The Noble One leads people in a similar way: with understanding, caring for those he leads before he ever begins issuing orders. This is Ren in leadership — concern that comes before command.

The Lesson

True leadership isn't just a clear plan — it's responsibility for how your decisions land on others.

A question to sit with

Does my plan actually serve the goal, or am I scattering my energy on things that change very little?
