23. Falling apart

bō · Thunder ☳ over Earth ☷

The end of a cycle — the necessity of letting go of what no longer serves.

The Noble One's Path

A mountain slowly sliding down toward the earth. In a time of falling apart, the responsibility of those who lead shifts toward strengthening the foundations, not defending their own position.

The Lesson

If you feel something in your life falling apart, don't hold on to it by force. Let go of what has lost its vitality.

A question to sit with

What in my life is naturally coming to an end — and do I have the courage to let it go?
